A piston pump is a type of positive displacement pump that uses a piston moving back and forth inside a cylinder to draw in and push out fluid. It’s known for delivering high pressure and precise flow, making it ideal for industrial, agricultural, and hydraulic applications.

A reciprocating pump is a type of positive displacement pump that moves a fixed volume of fluid with each stroke of a piston, plunger, or diaphragm inside a cylinder.

• It works by suction and discharge strokes:
• Suction stroke – the piston moves back, creating a vacuum that draws fluid into the cylinder through a suction valve.
• Discharge stroke – the piston moves forward, forcing the fluid out through a delivery valve at high pressure.
